How you can support our work

Street Orchestra Live is a registered charity (1178626) and our work is dependant upon charitable giving and applications for funding.

With your help we can:

  • Reach a wider audience, including hospice patients, care home residents and asylum seekers.
  • Provide public performances free of charge in railway stations, parks, museums and public spaces
  • Redefine the classical music experience and take high quality orchestral music out of the concert hall.
  • Support young musicians’ develop into artists for ready for a life in diverse and community-focused music-making.

As we’re a charity, you can boost your donation by an extra 25% through Gift Aid.

We would like to thank Arts Council England for its support over several projects and everyone that has tapped our yellow violin or dropped some change into the cello case. Here are some more ways you can contribute to sustaining our activities.

Donate

If you would like to make an online donation to help us, you can use the paypal service below. We are very grateful for every donation, no matter how small.

Host a concert

Offering us a place to play is another vital way you can support us. You provide the space and an audience and we’ll supply the music! We’re especially keen to hear from schools, prisons, and healthcare organisations.

Book a private performance

Extra special wedding band? That could be us! Corporate events? We’ve played for LinkedIn and National Lotteries. We’re also available to book as “an artist” for festival performances/artist-in-residence. Previously we’ve worked with Barbican on their Sound Unbound festivals, with Oxford Festival of the Arts, and Colchester’s Roman River Festival.

Play with us

Our orchestra is made up of musicians who volunteer their time for free. It’s a chance to really connect with audiences, make new friends and contacts, get outside the comfort zone of classical music and occasionally do the craziest things.
